بعد أربعین متفرقات ما بین السیاسة والتاریخ والاجتماع، تقابلك \"خصوصیات\" الجزء الرابع من الشوقیات. ھذه \"الخصوصیات\" تضم ستة وسبعین قصیدة، خ ص منھا \"أحمد شوقي\" الحیوان والطیر، وغیرھما، بثلاثة وخمسین \"حكایة شعریة\". حكایات تستوحي نمط قصص كلیلة ودمنة، وقصص \"لافونتین\" نظمھا \"شوقي\" بأسلوب تستشف منھ جوانب \"الحكمة، والخبرة، والتوظیف الرمزي للتأدیب بمسحة \"طریفة، ساخرة، ضاحكة\". والتھذیب\". كما یكتسي أحیانا في قصصه (9 قصائد). ذلك أن أمیر لقد حظي \"الثعلب\" (بنصیب الأسد)، فكان أكثر الحیوان ذكراً للخبث والمكر الشعراء \"شوقي\" (1868-1932م) یراه (وأمثالھ ممن ینتھجون نھجھ من البشر) رمزاً والخدیعة. تلي الثعلب \"الحمار\" (6 قصائد)، ثم \"الأسد، والكلب، والشاة\" (5 حكایات لكل). ومن الطیر كان للدیك/ الدجاج، في \"حكایات \"شوقي\" (3 عناوین)، أما \"الغراب، والحمام، والعصافیر\" (قصیدتان لكل)، بینما ذكرت \"النملة\" في ثلاثة حكایات (أحمد شوقي: الشوقیات، الجزء الرابع، المكتبة التجاریة الغایة من وراء ھذه القصص یقول \"شوقي\" في مقدمة قصیدة \"الصیاد الكبرى بمصر، 1983م). ومبینا والعصفورة\" : حكایة الصیاد والعصفورة صارت لبعض الزاھدین صورة.
