الإعتماد المستندي يستخدم مع شركات الاستيراد والتصدير وهو عبارة عن \"عقد يتعهد البنك بمقتضاه بفتح إعتماد لصالح شخص آخر بناءً علي طلب أحد عملائه بضمان مستندات تمثل بضاعه منقوله أو معده للنقل \" أي أن البنك وسيط بين المستورد والمصدرلضمان حق الطرفين. \"خطاب الضمان\" : يستخدم في شركات المقاولات العامة وهو عبارة عن \"شهادة يصدرها البنك بناء علي أحد عملائه يتعهد بمقتضاه بدفع قيمته لحساب المستفيد من خطاب الضمان في حالة المطالبة بسداد قيمته بشرط أن يكون خلال مدة سريانه وفي حدود المبلغ المصدر به وفي نفس الغرض المصدر من أجله.
