في انتقام طروادة بضعة أحداث مثيرة للاهتمام عن السلطان محمد الفاتح وفتح اسطنبول، حيث يعد السلطان محمد الفاتح أهم رجل دولة في التاريخ التركي كله، فبالرغم من أن رجال الدولة التركية أنجزوا أعمالا كبيرة في التاريخ التركي وأحرزوا انتصارات كبيرة كثيرون، فإنه لم يكن أي منهم قط حاكم دولة متعدد الجوانب مثل محمد الفاتح، ولذلك فإن السلطان محمد الفاتح يعد هو المؤسس الفعلي للإمبراطورية العثمانية، وهو سلطان النهضة العثمانية بالمعنى التام.
