يتناول الكتاب حيث يشمل ديوان القدسي جميع قصائد جورج باطاي، التي نشرها في حياته أو تم العثور لاحقا عليها،موزعة بين كتب ومسوّدات، قام برنار نويل بجمعها وكتابة تقديم لها (راجع بداية الديوان) ووضع أغلب هوامشها، باستثناء بعض منها مأخوذ من الأعمال الكاملة، هذه القصائد تنشر لأول مرة في ديوان واحد، وقد صدرت عن دار غاليمار، في 15 أبريل 2008، ضمن سلسلة \"شعر\" الشهيرة. يتألف الديوان من القدسي L'Archangélique ، الصادر سنة 1944 في حوالي أربعين صفحة ضمن منشورات ميساج. وقد كانت صدرت منه نسخ محدودة تقدر بحوالي 100 أو 120 نسخة. هذا هو العمل الأساسي، وكان برنار نويل أعاد نشره سنة 1967 عن دار ميركور دو فرانس، بعد أن أضاف إليه قصائد كانت موزعة، تشمل ما هو، هنا، منشور تحت عنوان \"قصائد متنوعة\".
