كان سعيد عوض باوزير ناقدا أدبيا أصيلا وكان قبل ذلك شاعرا، فوضعت له مكانا لائقا في رسالتي للدكتوراه إلا انه لا يستوعب أعماله النقدية عرضا ودراسة ومن هنا عزمت على إصفائه بهذا المؤلف للاقتراب من كل ما تمكنت من جمعه من كتاباته النقدية سواء ما كان منها الكتب أو الصحف ومن بينها كتابه عن الفكر والثقافة الذي زدت من الغوص في سراديبه في هذع الدراسة المستقلة عن نقد باوزير.
