يتحدث هذا الكتاب عن مبادئ علم الحركة : يعتبر علم الحركة فى العصر الحديث من أهم العلوم فى تفسير الحركات الرياضية بمجاليها (التعليمي والتدريبي) من حيث التعرف على الشكل الخارجي للأداء ومسببات حدوث الحركة والتعرف على الحركات الجديدة و تطويرها علميا. كما أن أدوات علم الحركة تطورت في الأونة الأخيرة ومنها التحليل الحركي الذي ظهرت منه أنواع كثيرة جدا و على رأسها التحليل الميكانيكي باستخدام التصوير بكاميرات الفيديو الحديثة وتحليل النتائج باستخدام الحاسب الآلي والأشعة تحت الحمراء و جهاز الليزر لرصد الحركات باستخدام أشعة التصوير وقد حاولنا فى هذا المقرر تقريب المعلومات العلمية الخاصة بعلم الحركة إلى الواقع العملي لها فى المجال الرياضي مع توضيح مدى ارتباط علم الحركة بالعلوم الأخرى و منها علم التشريح والفسيولوجي والميكانيكا.
