إن إباحة تعدد الزوجات في الإسلام أمر واضح، ومرغوب به استثناء، حيث يكثر النساء ويقل الرجال في أعقاب الحروب، وحيث توجد ظروف خاصة لدى الرجل لقوته، أو المرأة لعقمها أو مرضها، ونحو ذلك، في إطار عقد يتحمل الرجل كامل المسؤولية عنه، وترضى المرأة به دون إجبار لها من أحد إن هذا النظام المنضبط في شريعة الله أضحى مستهجنا بحسب أذواق الغربيين الذين يقيمون بديلا عنه بما هو معروف من أوكار الغرام، والعشق الحرام، والتفلت من تحمل مسؤولية المرأة أو ما تنجبه من أولاد. وكل إناء بالذي فيه ينضح، ونحن أشد الناس حرصا على المشروعية، والفرار من أنظمة الجاهلية أو الحضارة الغربية التائهة وليس كل المسلمين معددين للزوجات وإنما هو بنسبة نادرة لا تتجاوز 4% فهل بعد بيان مقومات هذا النظام من استغراب ؟
