يتوزع الكتاب على قسمين رئيسين، ويتناول القسم الأول \"دلالات وتداعيات المحاولة الانقلابية الفاشلة في 15 تموز 2016\" في تركيا ويتضمن ستة فصول تسلط الضوء على تلك الدلالات والتداعيات. بينما يتناول القسم الثاني \"التحولات في السياسة الخارجية بعد 15 تموز 2016\" وينقسم إلى فصلين يحمل أولهما عنوان : \"تحولات السياسة الخارجية التركية وانعكاساتها على أزمة المنطقة\"، أما الفصل الثاني فيحمل عنوان : \"أزمة السياسة الخارجية التركية وانعكاساتها على العلاقات العربية التركية ودور تركيا الإقليمي\". ويشير الكتاب إلى أن عملية تطهير الشرطة من عناصر ما يسمى بـ \"الكيان الموازي\" عام 2012 كانت عاملا مهما جدا في السيطرة على محاولة الانقلاب عام 2016.
