يتحدث الكتاب عن مواجهة الغزو الفكري حيث أن للثقافة العربية دور بالغ الأهمية، وخصوصا بعد أن أصاب الضعف عددا من مقومات المنعة القومية من قبيل المؤسسات السياسية والاجتماعية وقويت تبعية العرب الاقتصادية. وهناك حالة تبعية عربية حضارية وفكرية للغرب. العرب يستوردون أنظمة الغرب ومنتجاته. ولكنهم لم يتعلموا أو لم يطبقوا المنهج العلمي الذي أنتج هذه النظم والمنتجات. ودب الوهن في نفوس قسم من العرب، واستشرى الفساد وتعززت المغالاة في النزعة الاستهلاكية. وعلى الرغم من ذلك لا تزال جوانب فكرية وقيمية وتراثية عربية صامدة في وجه هذا الغزو.
