كتاب التطور التدريجي لمفاوضات البيئة الدولية من ستوكهولم إلي ريو دي جانيرو تأليف مارك جيدوبت ؛ حيث أصبحت البيئة قضية علاقات دولية مع انعقاد المؤتمر الأول للبيئة في ستوكهولم عام 1972 برعاية الأمم المتحدة، وكان الاعتبار الرئيسي الذي أدى إلى عقد هذا المؤتمر هو الوعي المتزايد بمشكلات البيئة الوطنية التي نشأت في الدول الصناعية في أواخر الستينيات، ويرجع ظهور قضية البيئة كقضية سياسية بالدرجة الأولى إلى تدهور البيئة نتيجة لعمليات التصنيع.
