ضمن سلسلة نقد التي تصدرها دار الشؤون الثقافية العامة، صدر للكاتبة منى حسن علي كتابها الموسوم (محمد سعيد الصكار .. دراسة في فنه الشعري) بواقع 248 صفحة من القطع المتوسط، تناول الكتاب المسيرة الشعرية للصكار وعلى مدى أكثر من نصف قرن حافلة بالإنجازات الأدبية والفنية، حيث برزت موهبته الشعرية مطلع الخمسينيات تزامنا مع ظهور حركة التجديد في الشعر العراقي، فكتب القصيدة بشكلها الجديد قصيدة التفعيلة (الشعر الحر)، كما كتب القصة والمسرحية، فضلا عن أعماله التي توزعت بين الخط والرسم والتصميم والإخراج الفني ومع تعدد وتنوع اهتماماته إلا أنه يقدم نفسه في أكثر من مناسبة شاعرا ويغترف من الفنون ويستثمرها في شعره للانفتاح على أجناس وفضاءات أدبية تغني تجربته.
