لأن عبد الحليم حافظ كان يقدر معنى الكلمة التي يتغنى بها.. ولأن كل من كتبوا له أغانيه.. أو صاغوا شعرا أحبه واختار أن يتغنى به ذات يوم كانوا وراء النجاح الكبير الذي به عبد الحليم. ولأن كلماتهم التي تغنى بها العندليب كانت مليئة بالصدق وتبطنها المشاعر الإنسانية العظيمة لذا ظلت تعيش بيننا حتى زماننا الحاضر وبعد رحيل عبد الحليم بكل هذه السنين. ولأن زمنا جديدا جاء ضاعت فيه الكلمة الجيدة فكرت أن أهدي إلى المكتبة الموسيقية كتابا لا يضيع مع مرور الأيام والسنين يضم بين ضفتيه كلاما جميلا أحببناه وعشنا به ومعه زمن عبد الحليم حافظ.
