كتاب محمد القصبجي : حياته وأعماله تأليف محمود كامل، يقع الكتاب في حوالي 165 صفحة، من إصدار الهيئة المصرية العامة للتأليف والنشر، أحصى المؤلف في كتابه 360 أغنية موزعة على عدة أشكال من التلحين: 182 طقطوقة، 91 أغنية في 38 فيلما سينمائيا، 43 مونولوجا، 30 قصيدة، 13 دورا، وموشح وحيد بعنوان «مر عيش هان». يعتبر هذا العدد كبيرا جدا إذا ما أخذنا في الحسبان مدى جودة الألحان. ويعتبر لحن «مليش مليك في القلب غيرك» لزكي مراد، أول ألحان القصبجي عموما، أما أول ألحانه لأم كلثوم فهو «إن حالي في هواها عجب» عام 1924.
