كتاب \" وليمة متنقلة \" هذا الكتاب الذى يتحدث عن مدينة باريس التي عاش فيها الكاتب في أوائل العشرينات من القرن العشرين، من سنة 1921-1926 وهي سنوات تقع في تلك الفترة التي يسميها الفرنسيون بالحقبة الجميلة أو بسنوات الجنون. كما يتحدث عن الأدباء والفنانين الذين كانوا يعيشون في باريس في تلك الأيام والذين ربطته معهم صلات مودة وصداقة، خاصة أولئك الذين قدموا من بريطانيا وأمريكا واتخذوا باريس مربعا لمزوالة أدبهم وفنهم. وفي مقدمة أولئك الادباء الشاعر الامريكي عزرا باوند وغيرهم من الكتاب والشعراء والفنانين، فهذا الكتاب يشكل جنسا أدبيا جديدا فهو عبارة عن ذكريات سيرة ذاتية صيغت بشكل روائي.
