يضم هذا المرجع الوثائقي 512 وثيقة، معظمها ينشر أول مرة، تؤرخ لمسيرة الكفاح الوطني الفلسطيني منذ الاحتلال البريطاني لفلسطين سنة 1918 حتى نهاية الثورة العربية الكبرى سنة 1939. اختيرت هذه الوثائق من أرشيف اللجنة التنفيذية الفلسطينية الأولى، والوثائق الأصلية الأخرى التي أهداها إلى مؤسسة الدراسات الفلسطينية الأستاذ أكرم زعيتر، الذي عاش أحداث تلك الفترة وكان ناشطا وسياسيا فلسطينيا بارزا.
