Overview
إحدى صعوبات اللغة الإنجليزية التي يقابلها الدارس المبتدئ للغة الإنجليزية أو المترجم حديث العهد باللغة هي ما يسمى بـ Phrasal verbs أي «الأفعال العبارة» وهي عبارة عن أفعال عادية يتغير معناها باختلاف ما يتبعها من حرف من حروف الجر «Prepositions» أو الظرف أو أداة Particle فمثلا الفعل Look = ينظر، بينما يبحث عن = Look for، يعتني بـ = Look after، يشبه = Look like، كل تلك المعاني انبثقت من الفعل الأصلي Look وفي هذا القاموس يجد الدارس أكبر عدد من هذه الأفعال وما يتبعها من المعاني مع ترجمتها بلغة عربية سهلة، ومع كل معنى أو تفسير جملة تبين استعمالها في الكلام العادي البسيط.
