الحركات الإصلاحية تبدو متوافرة اليوم أكثر مما سبق، خصوصا بعد انتشار نزعات وتوجهات فكرية واجتماعية وسياسية في عالمنا العربي تدعو إلى الانغلاق وتبشر بالعزلة وتعارض كل إمكانية التواصل مع الآخر المخالف .. وهي مواقف تبدو جد متراجعة عما كانت تدعو إليه جل الحركات الإصلاحية العربية في القرن التاسع عشر، ما يجعلنا بالفعل نتحسر على تلك الروح التواصلية وذلك التفتح الذي كانت تلك الحركات لا تكف عن الدعوة إليه. وأعتقد أن الذين أشبعوا بالأمس هذه الحركة نقدا يتأسفون اليوم لغياب روحها وتراجع دعوتها، بعد أن حل محلها فكر بديل عصى على الإصلاح الفكري خطير النتائج على المستوى الاجتماعي والسياسي !
