الهدف من هذا الكتاب هو تقديم عرض مبسط لأهم المبادئ والطرق الاحصائية الرئيسية التى يمكن للباحث المبتدئ الاستعانة بها في تحليل البيانات الخاصة بالبحث النفسي والتربوي. فطلاب الدراسات العليا الذين يخطون أول خطوة على طريق البحث يجدون أنفسهم في حاجة ماسة الى مرشد ينير لهم هذا الطريق. وربما يتساءل البعض : لماذا اخترنا عنوان الكتاب (تحليل البيانات Data analysis). بدلا من (الإحصاء Statistics)؟ والسبب في ذلك أننا نود أن نضع المفاهيم والطرق والأساليب الإحصائية في إطارها الصحيح بحيث تخدم طلاب البحث النفسي والتربوي.
