مثلما عانت حرية الكلمة المطبوعة من رقابة رسمية أو من تربى عليها قلم الكاتب نفسه فإن السينما هى الأخرى عانت وبوقت مبكر-من سلطة الرقيب هذا الرقيب الذي يعتبر نفسه مدافعا وحامي ضد تجاوزات الفن السابع فيما يعلن الإبداع بكل جرأة بان استفزاز الرقيب وصل إلى العظيم أي إلى إلغاء الكثير من مساحات الحرية ! ! وعند هذه الكلمة بالذات والتي هي الغاية العظمى تتركز كفتا الميزان بين الرقابة والإبداع، وهنا يكون التساؤل صريحا .. هل ينبغي أن تكون الرقابة لحماية سلطة ما أم لحماية الإبداع الأصيل ؟ وهل الإبداع راح يشاكس الأنظمة ويهدد التقاليد تحت لافتة الحرية .. أم أنه حر بحق ؟
