يأتي هذا الكتاب كحلقة في سلسلة الدراسات المتعلقة بالصحافة المدرسية ليتناولها من جانبيها النظري والتطبيقي، واضعين في اعتبارنا ما توصل إليه من سبقونا في هذا المجال متطلعين إلى ما يفيد القارئ سواء كان متخصصا أو غير ذلك مركزين على الجوانب التطبيقية أيضا. لذا فقد جاء هذا الكتاب في ستة فصول تناول الأول منها العلاقة بين النشاط المدرسي والصحافة المدرسية، والثاني أشكال الصحافة المدرسية بما فيها الإذاعة المدرسية، والثالث نشأة وتطور الصحافة المدرسية بدءا من عام 1870 وحتى خضوعها لوزارة التربية والتعليم، ثم الفصل الرابع والخاص بتحرير الصحافة المدرسية، والخامس تناول إخراج بتحرير الصحافة المدرسية والخامسة تناول إخراج الصحافة المدرسية، أما الفصل السادس فقد تناول معارض الصحافة المدرسية ومسابقاتها.
