عندما ننظر في هذا الكتاب نجده قد قام على مجموعة محاضرات ألقيت على طلاب كلية الحقوق في الجامعة الأردنية في الفصل الصيفي من عام 1990 في مادة أحكام الالتزام. وقد تناول الكتاب دراسة أحكام الالتزام وفق أربعة مواضيع رئيسية وهي: آثار الالتزام من حيث تعرفها ووجوب تنفيذ الالتزام والالتزام الطبيعي والالتزام المدني ووسائل تنفيذ الالتزام والوسائل المشروعة لحماية التنفيذ ثم أوصاف الالتزام من حيث التصرفات المشروطة بالتعليق أو المضافة إلى أجل وتعدد المحل وتعدد الالتزام ثم انتقال الالتزام من حيث إنشاء الحوالة وآثار الحوالة وانتهاء والحوالة وأخيرا انقضاء الالتزام من حيث الإيراء واستحالة التنفيذ والتقادم.
