يتضمن هذا الكتاب كل تفصيله من تفصيلات حياته سواء منها ما يتصل بالموسيقى والغناء او بحياته الخاصة، من هنا فقد اهتمت بالتوقف عند المراحل الهامة من حياته بدءا من المؤثرات الولى وحتى اخر ما لحن وغنى \"من غيرليه\" وبين البداية والنهاية أشرت إلى العديد من مراحل تطوره الفني وظروف لقاء السحاب مع أم كلثوم وانتهاء بتقدير الدولة.. والدول العربية والهيئات المهتمة بالموسيقى والغناء لما قدمه من ابداع طوال حياته كما لم نغفل عديدا من المواقف والاحداث الاجتمايعة والفنية ارفقناها خلال الملاحث التى اثبتناها في نهاية الكتاب. كما أشرت إلى المراحل الايجابية ،اشارت ايضا إلى راى النقاد في بعض المواقف السلبية ولذلك رصدت درجات تأثره بغيره إلى حد الاقتباس كما اكد الكثير اثناء حياته وهو ما استطاع ان يتغلب عليه بدلبلوماسيته واسلوبه الدمث ورقة عباراته المعروف بها.
