Overview
يشتمل الكتاب على رواة كتب أئمة الزيدية من رأس الخمسماْئة للهجرة إلى عصر المؤلف. وينقسم إلى قسمين ؛ الأول : يحتوي على أكثر من (800) ترجمة كلهم من رجال الزيدية الذين اتصل سندهم غالبا ولم ينقطع. الثاني : اشتمل على (66) ترجمة موسعة لمن اتصلت أسانيدهم بالزيدية من علماء المذاهب الأخرى وكلا الفصلين مرتبان على حروف المعجم. جمع فيهما المؤلف الكثير من الأسانيد والإجازات والطرق، واحتويا على الكثير من المعلومات عن المترجم لهم وتواريخ مواليدهم ووفياتهم وإنجازاتهم العلمية وسماعاتهم، وقد شمل عشرات التراجم التي لم توجد إلا فيه جمعها المؤلف من مقدمات أسانيد الكتب وتفرد بتحريرها للمعاصرين من شيوخه وأقرانه.
