يهدف بنيالي القاهرة الدولي في دورته الثانية إلى تحقيق هدفين أساسين : أولهما هو تحقيق تلاحم قوي ومستمر بين الفنون التشكيلية العربية للمعاصرة في مختلف الأقطار العربية وصولا إلى تاكيد مكانة الفن العربي التشكيلي المعاصر بين فنون العالم الحديث، وثانيهما هو السعي إلى قيام حوار مثمر وفعال بين الفنون التشكيلية العربية المعاصرة والأعمال الإبداعية العالمية في مجال الفنون التشكيلية.
