يتناول كتاب (وصفات أم خلفان) والذي قامت بتأليفه آمنة العليلي في حوالي (217) صفحة من القطع المتوسط موضوع (الطهي) مستعرضا المحتويات التالية : السلطات ويتناول سلطة البطاطا، السلطة المشوية، وسلطة الزيتون، وسلطة الماش، سلطة التونة... أما الشوربات فنجد فيها شوربة العدس، شوربة الشوفان، وشوربة الجريش باللحم... والأطباق الجانبية نجد : كفتة السمك، شاورمة الدجاج، باكورة البصل معكرونة السبانغ... إلخ، أما بالنسبة للأطباق الرئيسية فنجد جوجه كباب، لحم مشوي على الخبز دجاج بالبطاطس، برياني الريبان الطازج...، وينتهي الكتاب بالحلويات وفيها أرز بالحليب، فطيرة التفاح، كيكة الجزر...
