هذا الكتاب هو ثاني رسالتين في تاريخ الكويت الحديث تقدم بهما الدكتور بدر الدين عباس الخصوصي مدرس تاريخ العرب الحديث بجامعة الكويت إلى جامعة القاهرة، فأجازت الأولى منهما لدرجة الماجستير بتقدير \"جيد جدا\"، عام 1966، وأجازت الثانية لدرجة الدكتوراه في التاريخ الحديث مع مرتبة الشرف الأولى عام 1971، وكان لي حظ الإشراف على الرسالتين.
