لابد لكل مهتم بشؤون الطفل نفسيا وتربويا وسلوكيا واجتماعيا من دراسة جانب النحو اللغوي عند الطفل من حيث مراحل هذا النحو وتحديد العوامل المؤثرة على تطور اللغة ومعرفة قدرات الأطفال على تعلم اللغة وتعزيز هذه القدرات والتعرف على الطرق المختلفة في تطور المعاني المرتبطة بالضرورة بهذه اللغة عند الأطفال، هذا ويختلف العلماء في تفسير الكيفية التي يكتسب بها الطفل اللغة وجاءت النظريات النفسية لتطرح الحلول المناسبة لهذه المسألة، والمعروف أن الطفل يعيش مع أسرته وبالتالي فهو يتعرض لاكتساب اللغة من خلال التعرض للغة والحياة اليومية من خلال المحاكاة مع الطفل من قبل أفراد أسرته خاصة الأم، وبذا تكون المحاكاة مع الطفل أقدر على إسراع اكتساب اللغة.
