Overview
يؤرخ للوراقة في منطقة نجد التى تقع في قلب المملكة العربية السعودية. وذلك خلال المدة من القرن التاسع حتى القرن الرابع عشر الهجري. حيث يعرف بهذه الصناعة التي تعني حرفة نسخ الكتب العلمية. ويشير إلى أدواتها المكونة في الغالب من أوراق وأحبار وأفلام وحلى. كما يعدد هذا الكتاب أبرز أعلام الوراقين في منطقة نجد، بداية من القرن التاسع، حتى القرن الرابع عشر الهجري، وقد جاوز عددهم المئة والخمسين وراقا، أما في القرن الرابع عشر الهجري حين كثر الوراقون وصعب حصرهم فيكتفي بالإشارة إلى أبرزهم، وعددهم تجاوز الثمانين وراقا من الذين امتهنوا الوراقة اليدوية، كما يرفق نماذج من المخطوطات التي كتبها أولئك الوراقون.
