تأتي هذه السلسلة من دراسات في التراث الشعبي، إيمانا بالدور المهم والحقيقي في حفظ وتوثيق مفردات الموروث الشعبي الذي يعد الثقافة الشعبية المتجذرة لهذا المجتمع في شتى البيئات الموجودة فيه، ورغم القفزات السريعة التي أثرت في المجتمع، ونقلته وأبناءه إلى التطور والحداثة، إلا أن هناك جهودا حثيثة في الكثير من المؤسسات المعنية بالتراث الشعبي للمحافظة عليه وصونه وتوثيقه، وقد أعطت هذه الجهودي أكلها ؛ ولذلك نرى اليوم أن هناك جهد دؤوبة وكبيرة في تأصيل هذه الثقافة، وإبرازها بصورة جميلة، تحفظ هذا الموروث وترعاه من طي النسيان.
