أصدرت رابطة الاجتماعيين الكويتية ميثاقا يحدد الأخلاقيات والمبادئ التي تحكم قواعد وأساليب عمل الاختصاصي الاجتماعي والمؤسسات العاملة في الميدان الاجتماعي سعيا منها إلى الارتقاء بمستوى أداء المهنة وتحقيق أهدافها بما ينعكس إيجابا على الفرد والمجتمع، وقال رئيس مجلس إدارة الرابطة عبد الرحمن صالح التوحيد أنه استجابة لدعوة سمو أمير البلاد الشيخ صباح الأحمد الجابر الصباح في خطابه بدور الانعقاد الأول من الفصل التشريعي الحالي لمجلس الأمة والذي دعا فيه إلى مشروع وطني يتضمن إصلاح جهاز الدولة الإداري والارتقاء بأدائه وتحمل المواطن مسئولياته رأت الرابطة ضرورة إصدار مثل ذلك الميثاق الأخلاقي.
