الإنسان كائن محب للسفر وميال للترحال، يشحذ طاقته ويجدد أفكاره كلما شاهد بلادا، أخرى وتعرف إلى ثقافات وتقاليد وعادات مختلفة. والتفكير في تجربة السفر هاجس يلازمني، يمنحني بعدا مختلفا من الأخيلة عن أماكن وبلاد أجوبها ونسمات أرق تداعب جبهتي، عن بشر اخرين قد أجد بينهم أصدقاء حقيقيين، وعن مدينة-أخرى-تسكن الفؤاد الحزين. أبحث عن مدينة أخرى تمنحني جسدها طواعية، فأعبره بكل حواسي بمودة وطمأنينة وسلام. لكن مثلي مثل كل البسطاء، والبسطاء-في بلادي-لا يسافرون إلا من أجل العمل ولقمة العيش، ولذلك تجدهم دائمي البحث-بدأب وجلد-عن تجربة سفر، فيغربون ويشرقون سعيا ومثابرة في انتظار العودة، ثم يبحثون مجددا عن فرصة سفر.
