يتناول الكتاب العلاقات السعودية الأمريكية في نشأتها وتطورها خلال فترة 1352-1395 هـ. / 1931-1975 م.، ويبين أثرها في المستوى الإقليمي والدولي، وما حققته من إنجازات سياسية واقتصادية، ويوثق الكتاب اللقاءات التي تمت بين زعماء الدولتين خلال تلك المدة والتي بلغت ستة لقاءات : أولها كان لقاء الملك عبد العزيز-رحمه الله-والرئيس روزفلت في البحيرات المرة بمصر، وآخرها كان في جدة عندما استقبل الملك فيصل-رحمه الله-الرئيس نيكسون الذي يعد أول رئيس أمريكي يزور المملكة العربية السعودية، وقد نجحت هذه اللقاءات في إرساء قواعد العلاقات المتينة بين البلدين.
