الكتاب يورد حقائق جديدة للقاريء، فمثلا نجد الشيخ الشلشلموني يحضر إحدي حفلات عبده الحامولي، فيتوقف الحامولي عن الغناء ليهبط إلي القاعة ويقبل يده، كما يرجع له الفضل في اكتشاف سلامة حجازي ويوسف المنيلاوي، ورغم كونه كفيفا فإنه تعمق في علم الموسيقي والألحان وأصبح علما من أعلام الغناء والإنشاء، ومما نتوقعه لبدايات مشايخ الفن في تلك الحقبة الغنية أنهم بدأوا بتلاوة القرآن وتجويده، فإننا نجد الكتاب يؤكد هذه الحقيقة، وفي إحدي اللمحات عن الشيخ علي القصبجي أنه كان محبوبا من كبار مطربي عصره، حتي أنه كان يمنحهم ألحانه بلا مقابل أحيانا.
