بحث قصير حاول فيه المؤلف التوصل إلى مدلول نخوة آل سعود الشهيرة : أهل العوجا \"هل العوجا\" وذلك من خلال أصل الكلمة في المعاجم وما كتبه عنها بعض المؤرخين والباحثين كالزركلي وعبدالله بن خميس. ورغم ما انتهى إليه ورجحه من أنها تدل على المكان \"الدرعية\" حيث تعود الأسرة الحاكمة، يسند ذلك كلمة للملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز في مقدمة الكتاب، إلا أن ما اشتهر عن سببها يبقى أمرا وجيها يدعمه الشعر وكتابات المؤرخين الذين نقل عنهم.
