لقد ذكر المؤلف في ثنايا كتابه ما ليس بغذاء للتحذير منه، وقد عرض لبيان الأحكام الشرعية فيما حرم الله سبحانه وتعالى من اللحوم المختلفة، والأشربة المسكرة، كما عرض لبيان محاسن ذكاة الحيوان بدل الصعق، وضرب المخ بالنار، مما لايزال يتفاخر به من لا يخاف الله تعالى، ولا يريد أن يرضخ لمنطق العقل والعلم. كما بين محاسن الإسلام فيما أحل وأباح من الفواكه بعد اللحوم والخضراوات وأفاض في ذلك بما عنده من علم نافع، وعرض باسهاب للخمر ومفاسدها ويؤكد أن المذاهب الأربعة تمنع الخمر المصنوعة من العنب وغيرها إذا كان يسكر كثيره، وعرض لضرورة الاستعاضة عن الشاي والقهوة بهذه النباتات الطبيعية المفيدة في مادتها الكثير من الأمراض ومن هذه الأعشاب النعناع والليمون والحلبة والزنجبيل ... الخ.
