جمع الشاعر محمود شوقي الأيوبي مجموعة من القصائد التي نظمها في الملك عبدالعزيز، وذلك في ديوان مخطوط بعنوان (الملاحم العربية)، وكتبه بخطه الجميل، وأرسله إلى الملك عبدالعزيز بعد عودة الشاعر من أندونيسيا، واستقراره في بلدة الكويت، وقد تم جمعه ونسخه في عام 1371 هـ في الكويت، ويتضمن هذا الديوان الذي ينشر لأول مرة عددا من القصائد في مدح الملك عبدالعزيز والأمير سعود والأمير فيصل، وذلك في سبع وعشرين ملحمة طويلة عبر فيها عن محبته للملك عبد العزيز بإخلاص وتجرد، وعن إعجابه بإسلامه الصادق، وبطولته الفذة، وعروبته الأصلية، ومن ذلك قوله: هو الإمام الحر مغوار الحمى عبدالعزيز العبقري المرتضى.
