تفتتح مكتبة الإسكندرية معرض «المكتبة... المدينة: رؤى فوتوغرافية»، ويأتي هذا المعرض ضمن احتفال مكتبة الإسكندرية بمرور خمسة عشر عاما على افتتاحها وبداية نشاطاتها المتعددة في مجال الفنون التشكيلية والبصرية. وتم الإعلان عن المشاركة في المعرض للمصورين الهواة والمحترفين. وتم اختيار الأعمال المشاركة عن طريق لجنة تحكيم لاختيار الأعمال التي تتناسب مع فكرة المعرض. يقدم من خلال هذا المعرض 57 من المصورين الفوتوغرافيين عدد 105 أعمال فنية. ويتزامن هذا المعرض مع اليوم العالمي للتصوير الفوتوغرافي؛ حيث اعتادت مؤسسات دولية كثيرة الاحتفال بالتصوير الفوتوغرافي في شهر أغسطس من كل عام.
