يتحدث الكتاب عن إنه لا بد من فتح باب للتلاقي بين الحضارات والاتصال البناء الذي فيه الخير لعموم العالم، مع ضرورة تضمين قيم التسامح والتعايش في المناهج الدراسية، وتبصير الجيل إلي ضرورة الحوار بين الحضارات وضرورة استمراريته ولكن على مبدأ المساواة، والندية، والعدل مع ضرورة التعرف على دوافع وأسباب اللجوء للصراع والعنف والانفتاح على هذه الأسباب ومحاولة معالجتها لإنه أقل من كلفة من كبتها وتجاهلها حتى تصل إلى درجة الانفجار، فإذا فعلنا ذلك أوقفنا العنف ونشرنا السلام في ربوع العالم.
