من خلال هذا المعرض نطلع على أعمال فنانين من النمسا، وألمانيا، وبريطانيا، وغيرها من دول الغرب، استهواهم الشرق فجسدوه فنا في لوحاتهم، و بين الزوايا الأربع للوحة تدور الحكايات التي تعكس تقاليد الشرق في القرن التاسع عشر مثل لوحة صانع الأدوات المعدنية، ولوحة الحرم للفنان رودلف إرنست، وتستمر المفردات العربية من أحياء في دمشق أو القاهرة أو القدس، أو مشاهد من الصحراء وما فيها من إبل وقوافل، كل ما يمكن أن يدل على أن الفن يجسد الواقع بكل صدق، وحرفية.
