كتاب (الأقاليم الخمسة منذ ما قبل التاريخ ولغاية الآن) لمؤلفه (الدكتور سامي الدوري) فكرة كتابة هذا الكتاب فكرة قديمة تعود إلى سنوات ألتسعينات من القرن الماضي، عندما بدأت تمر على المنطقة أحداث فيها الكثير من الاضطراب والتوتر لم تمر بها المنطقة خلال تاريخها الحديث باستثناء الفترة التي أعقبت قيام الكيان الصهيوني. هو نوع من المغامرة لكني وجدت أن خوض هذه المغامرة هو في كل الأحوال أفضل من إدارة الظهر لها والعودة إلى الركون والصمت عن الذي يجري في المنطقة من تدمير وسفك عبثي للدماء سواء كان بأيدي داخلية أو خارجية.
