في هذه الدراسة تم تقسيم دول العالم بناء على نموذج النظام العالمي الجديد الذي يقسم العالم إلى ثلاث دوائر هي دول المركز، ودول شبه المحيط ودول المحيط وتغطي الدراسة تسع دول ثم تقارن أوزان بعض المؤشرات السياسية والاقتصادية، وتدرس الفوارق في ترتيب الدول من نموذج إلى آخر. تطرح الدراسة نموذجا كميا بديلا خاصا بالوطن العربي يراعي طبيعته السياسية والاقتصادية حيث تأخذ عددا من المؤشرات الموضوعية من النماذج الأخرى، وتطرح مؤشرات جديدة مع دراسة الآثار والجوانب التي تسهم في ترتيب دول الوطن العربي وتصنيفها من خلال نموذج القياس المقترح.
