«أرض الوطن» أول معرض عربي للفنون البصرية المعاصرة، يقام في شمال أميركا وتحديدا في «متحف الآغا خان» بتورنتو في كندا. واستعرض المعنيون بهذا المعرض ثمرة التعاون بين المتحف ومؤسسة بارجيل للفنون في الإمارات، صاحبة مقتنيات المعرض، خلال مؤتمر صحافي أقيم صباح أمس، في مقر مركز آغا خان بدبي. يستكشف معرض \"أرض الوطن\" المعاناة التي عادة ما ترافقنا ونحن نتلمس طريقنا عبر الحدود السياسية والجغرافية، ويكشف عن كيفية تشكل الهوية تعبيراً عن علاقتنا ببقعة جغرافية معينة. إن العديد من الأعمال المعروضة في هذه التظاهرة الفنية، وهي تعالج مسائل محددة تخصها هي بالذات، تتسم في الوقت نفسه بأهمية أشمل وأعم وتمس مواضيع وتجارب تجد على النطاق العالمي صدى أوسع وأعمق لدى العديد من المهتمين بالفن. وتم تنظيم هذا المعرض بالتعاون بين مؤسسة بارجيل للفنون ومتحف آغا خان.
