يقول (ديفيد لينز) أنه قرأ في إحدى الصحف خبرا عن نشاطات إدارة التراث بدائرة الثقافة والاعلام وتذكر بأنه لا يزال يحتفظ بعدد (113) شريحة (سلاید) لمناظر مختلفة ومعاشات کان قد سجلها بعدسته في الإمارات، وفكر بعرضها على الجمهور، وهكذا تم الاتفاق وحصلت إدارة التراث على مدخرات ذاكرة دسته وكان هذا الألبوم الذي تعكس صورة جانبا من حياة الإمارات وبيئتها قبل قيام دولة الاتحاد، وهي صور ناطقة من إرهاصات مجتمع كان يتهيأ للتحول الذي تناد إلى مستوی النهضة الراهن الذي بلغته دولة الإمارات.
