الكاتب الصادق هو مرآه مجتمعه. يتناول هذا الكتاب فترة زمنية طويلة تمتد منذ العهد الأسطوري لإيران حتى القرن السادس الهجري. وقد بلور المؤلف هذه الفكره، وأكدها فى كتابه تاريخ طبرستان ؛ حيث قدم صوره حيه ومتكامله لمختلف جوانب الحياه، التى كانت سائده فى إقليم طبرستان آنذاك، فأبرز الجوانب المختلفه لمجتمعه من حضاريه وثقافيه واجتماعيه وتجاريه .. إلخ. من هنا تنبع أهميه هذا الكتاب من اشتماله على فتره زمنيه طويله تمتد منذ العهد الأسطورى لإيران حتى القرن السادس الهجرى.
