On January 14th 1958 the disfigured and mutilated body of a man was discovered near Lake Sembako, Japan. Two Tokyo detectives were sent to help local authorities quickly wrap up what seemed to be a routine case. It turned out to be anythin but. By bringing the shooting of the era made by photojournalist Watabe Yukichi (1924-1993), the present work provides a singular atmosphere see that permeates Japan after the war, through the keen eye of one of the most famous photojournalists of the year 1945-1965.
