يتناول الصباغ في كتابه شعراء شاع ذكرهم، وأسماء شعرية مجهولة لم تنتشر وغير معروفة في أنحاء العالم العربي، ومؤلف الكتاب د. هاني الصباغ من مواليد مدينة الناصرة العام ١٩٣٤، وخريج المدرسة الثانوية البلدية، حاصل على اللقبين الأول والثاني من الجامعة العبرية في القدس، والدكتوراة من جامعة مشيجان الامريكية، وعمل أستاذا فيها وفي عدد من الجامعات الأمريكية الأخرى.
