يتناول هذا الكتاب شرح موجز على مقصورة الإمام أبي بكر محمد بن الحسين بن دريد الأزدي (رحمه الله) وقد قام بتحقيقه وتمحيصه (عبد الله إسماعيل الصاوي)، وتناول فيه تفسير غريب اللغة وما تضمنته القصيدة من الحوادث التاريخية المشهورة، وتراجم الرجال الذين وردت أسماؤهم فيها مع بيان معنى كل بيت بمفرده ليقرب فهم المقصورة على طلاب العلم وشداة الأدب. وقدم المحقق ترجمة وافية للإمام ابن دريد، وجعلها في مقدمة الكتاب، تناول فيها تعريف به وبآرائه ومؤلفاته. يقع الكتاب في حوالي (128) صفحة من القطع المتوسط.
