يتناول هذا الكتاب أدبا جميلا يتضمن مشاهدات حية، لأنه (يعكس ويوثق كل ما صادف الرحالة ناجي جواد عبر رحلاته كلها، حيث إن الكاتب أو الرحالة ينقل كل ما رآه خلال رحلاته ويصف الأماكن التي زارها كلها ويصف عادات الشعوب وأهلها وينقل كل المواقف التي تعرض لها خلال رحلته أو رحلاته التي قام بها خلال حياته. وكتب الأدب الخاصة بالرحلات هي من المراجع الجغرافية كما انها مراجع تاريخية مهمة إذ أنها تصف وبشكل دقيق جدا التفاصيل التي عاشها وعاصرها الرحالة خلال سفره عدا عن الناحية الاجتماعية). فيما يشهد هذا النوع من الادب تراجعا كبيرا على مستوى العالم لاسباب منها ما يرجع بالدرجة الأساسية إلى أن (رحلات اليوم هي رحلات جاهزة كاملة تامة). خارج نطاق الاهتمام الحكومي.
