كتاب الكوميديا البشرية\" يقصد فيه المؤلف عبثية البشر وملهاتها بل ذهب لأبعد مما ذهب إليه أرسطو الذي قال: الكوميديا هي ما يبعث على الضحك منها هو النقيصة التي لا تسبب الألم أما المؤلف يقصد بالكوميديا هنا هي مجون وهزلية ولعب وازدراء واستهتار وتخبط وفوضوية البشرية ولا ضحك فيها فالكوميديا عند المؤلف لا تبعث على الخشوع ككوميديا الإغريق ودانتي، ولا تدعو للضحك ككوميديا أرسطو بل هي كوميديا المضحك المبكي بسبب تناقضها وعبثيتها، ولمن يقول أن البشرية أنجزت الكثير فأقول حتى إن كانت هنالك إضاءات أو إنجازات أو تقدم يذكر فهو نتائج لتفاعلات وتدافعات ومشاحنات عشوائية غير مخطط لها ولا مخطط لها مثل مقامر يكسب حينا ويخسر غالبا لكنه كسبا لا يشكر أو يحمد عليه، فلم يأتي من فكر وعمل بل من عبث وتجريب ولعب.
