رواية (آنا) صدرت هذه الرواية لأول مرة عام 2015، حيث يتخيل المؤلف أمانيتي الحياة في عام 2020 ما بعد الوباء الذي يضرب الأرض. الحمى الحمراء-كما يسميها-تستهدف البالغين وتستثني الصغار الذين يعيشون طفولة مهدورة في عالم ديستوبي يعم فيه الخراب وتستفحل المخاطر وينعدم الأمان. غير أن الأمل يحتم على البطلة \"آنا\" أن تصون شقيقها وأن تصحبه إلى مكان تتمنى أن الكبار قد نجوا فيه وتمكنوا من إنتاج اللقاح. ويكثف أمانيتي تفاصيل كثيرة تشكل رؤيته الروائية وبراعته السردية من حيث اشتغاله على ثيمة كابوسية ناجمة عن كارثة صحية ينبغي للأطفال أن يجدوا منفذا منها قبل أن يصلوا سن البلوغ ويفتك الفيروس بهم. لابد من أن يتسلحوا بالأمل وحب الحياة مهما كانت الظروف، لأن عيش الحياة واجب على الكائنات.
